C. Discussion/Presentation of 5-year CIP Update (Mr. Gomez)

BACKGROUND:
SUMMARY:
This presentation reviews the current 5-year Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and introduces initial steps and proposed projects for the next 5-year CIP. Further discussions will take place in upcoming CIP Council Sub-Committee meetings and budget workshops.
Staff is seeking direction on the following:
- What additional information would Council like to see regarding the CIP Program as part of the FY26 budget process?
- Does Council support City Staff in pursuing grant funding opportunities for CIP projects?
- Does Council want to increase the level of allocation of annual funding for Parks projects?
Next Steps: The Council CIP Sub-committee will hold its kick-off meeting in April to discuss new CIP projects for FY26 – FY31. City Council approved the FY26 budget schedule on March 25th, including Budget Workshops.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact will depend on the Council's direction and will be discussed during the FY26 budget workshops.
